The role of drones in the creation of 3D models

Results of aerial photography and laser scanning;
Ultra high resolution satellite imagery results.
Traditional methods of creating 3D models to this day use not only the data from "classic" aerial photography (using drones), but also with photos taken by ground expeditions.
Today, drones are widely used for 3D modeling. At the same time, their equipment and software enable the performance of a wide range of tasks within 3D modeling:

Filming for organizations and communication services;

Creating orthomosaics
Civilian orthophoto maps, as well as many other modern technologies, are the result of a creative rethinking of military developments. In fact, the technology to create accurate terrain plans through aerial and space surveys has gained wide acceptance, primarily among the military, and has been used to create accurate topographical maps of the area.
